Stock Market Update

[BRIEFING.COM] There is some mixed action in the stock market, which is vacillating along with the movement in the mega-cap stocks.

The Vanguard Mega-Cap Growth ETF (MGK) was up as much as 0.7% shortly after today's open before giving that all back and then some. It had been down 0.4%, but it has regrouped and is up 0.1%.

NVIDIA (NVDA 116.71, -0.67, -0.6%) has not been part of the winning edge, but that hasn't stopped the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index, which is up 0.6%, riding the strength of Microchip Technology (MCHP 54.48, +5.34, +10.9%) following its fiscal Q4 earnings report and better-than-expected fiscal Q1 revenue guidance.
