[BRIEFING.COM] The Dow Jones Industrial Average trades about 0.6% lower, or 235 points below its prior close.
Only seven of the 30 Dow components trade up led by Verizon (VZ 43.98, +0.44, +1.0%) and Johnson & Johnson (JNJ 155.42, +0.42, +0.3%) in terms of percentage gain.
Health care-related names show the largest percentage declines. Merck (MRK 80.27, -2.56, -3.1%), Amgen (AMGN 271.87, -8.19, -2.9%), and UnitedHealth (UNH 398.48, -6.35, -1.6%) are the biggest losers in the DJIA.
