[BRIEFING.COM] The stock market is lower across the board for a second consecutive session. The S&P 500 is about 30 points above its 50-day moving average (5,567) with today's move down.
Downside moves are driven by ongoing consolidation, along with renewed uncertainty around tariffs after President Trump said he will announce pharma specific tariffs in two weeks.
Just about everything is coming along for the downside ride. The Invesco S&P 500 Equal Weight ETF (RSP) is 0.6% lower. Nine of the 11 S&P 500 sectors are lower led by health care (-1.9%), technology (-1.0%), and consumer discretionary (-0.8%).
