Average hourly earnings increased 0.2% (Briefing.com consensus 0.3%) and the unemployment rate was unchanged at 4.2% (Briefing.com consensus 4.2%). The average workweek rose to 34.3 hours (Briefing.com consensus 34.2) from 34.2.
The S&P 500 futures are up 50 points and are trading 1.0% above fair value, the Nasdaq 100 futures are up 150 points and are trading 1.2% above fair value, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average futures are up 363 points and are trading 1.2% above fair value.
