Stock Market Update

The S&P 500 futures are up 21 points and are trading 0.4% above fair value, the Nasdaq 100 futures are up 80 points and are trading 0.4% above fair value, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average futures are up 160 points and are trading 0.4% above fair value.

Housing starts totaled 1.361 million in April (Briefing.com consensus 1.383 million) and building permits totaled 1.412 million (Briefing.com consensus 1.45 million). 

Import prices rose 0.1% in April and import prices, excluding oil, increased 0.4%. Export prices rose 0.1% and export prices, excluding agriculture, rose 0.1%.
