Gains in the aforementioned names have propelled their respective S&P 500 sectors to the top of the leaderboard after underperforming other sectors this year. The technology sector is 3.9% higher today, but 4.6% lower this year. The discretionary sector is 5.1% higher today, and 7.2% lower this year.
