Stock Market Update

Names like Meta Platforms (META 634.22, +41.83, +7.1%), NVIDIA (NVDA 122.40, +5.74, +4.9%), Apple (AAPL 208.94, +10.66, +5.4%), and Amazon.com (AMZN 207.31, +14.26, +7.4%) have an outsized impact on the major equity indices.

Gains in the aforementioned names have propelled their respective S&P 500 sectors to the top of the leaderboard after underperforming other sectors this year. The technology sector is 3.9% higher today, but 4.6% lower this year. The discretionary sector is 5.1% higher today, and 7.2% lower this year.
