[BRIEFING.COM] The major indices moved off their highs, but remain well above prior closing levels. The S&P 500 still sports a 2.0% gain while the Nasdaq Composite trades 2.4% higher. 

Gains in UnitedHealth (UNH 558.81, +34.10, +6.5%), CVS Health (CVS 68.94, +5.06, +7.9%), and Humana (HUM 279.06, +24.93, +9.8%) have contributed to the overall positive bias. Shares of health insurers are responding to news that CMS announced payments from the government to Medicare Advantage plans are expected to increase on average by 5.06% from 2025 to 2026.

The price action has boosted the S&P 500 health care sector, which shows a 1.4% gain.
