Only three S&P 500 sectors remain in negative territory. The energy (-0.5%), consumer discretionary (-0.3%), communication services (-0.1%) sectors are the lone laggards in the red while the materials (+0.6%), health care (+0.4%), and real estate (+0.4%) sectors lead the pack.
Moves in either direction are limited for most stocks. The Invesco S&P 500 Equal Weight ETF (RSP) rose 0.1%.
