[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (+0.4%) and Nasdaq Composite (+0.8%) are comfortably above their prior closing levels thanks to a noticeable uptick in buying in mega caps.
There was no specific catalyst that led to the increase, which has the Vanguard Mega Cap Growth ETF (MGK) trading 1.2% higher.
Other growth stocks have outperformed relative to value stocks too. The Russell 3000 Growth Index trades 0.7% higher and the Russell 3000 Value Index trades 0.5% lower.
