Energy sector leads decline
Dow -742.72 at 39865.73, Nasdaq -503.99 at 16620.98, S&P -130.56 at 5326.34

[BRIEFING.COM] The major indices trade off session lows, still showing sizable losses in response to yesterday surge.

Weekly EIA Natural Gas Inventories showed a build of 57 bcf vs a build of 29 bcf last week. Natural gas futures are 4.1% lower at $3.66/mmbtu. 

Oil prices are also lower, down 4.1% to $59.86/bbl. The S&P 500 energy sector is down 4.5% due in part to price action in commodities. 

The next worst performing sectors are technology (-3.5%), discretionary (-3.1%), and communication services (-2.5%), reflecting the underperformance of mega cap stocks are their huge gains yesterday.
