[BRIEFING.COM] The three major indices dropped over the last half hour. The downturn coincided with mega caps and chipmakers building on opening losses.
NVIDIA (NVDA 115.29, -5.39, -4.5%) and Tesla (TSLA 277.25, -10.92, -3.8%) are standouts after surging over recent sessions.
Losses in the aforementioned names have weighed down their respective S&P 500 sectors -- technology (-1.4%) and discretionary (-0.9%) -- which trade at the bottom of the pack.
