Stock Market Update

[BRIEFING.COM] The major indices continue to move lower. The market-cap S&P 500 shows a 0.8% decline.

Many stocks participated in downside moves. The Invesco S&P 500 Equal Weight ETF (RSP) traded up as much as 0.6% at its high, but sports a 0.1% decline now. Also, market breadth has turned negative after showing a positive skew in the early going.

Shortly after the open, advancers had a 4-to-3 lead over decliners at the NYSE, but decliners have a 3-to-2 lead now. Decliners always had an edge over advancers at the Nasdaq in today's session.
