[BRIEFING.COM] The Dow Jones Industrial Average (-0.11%) is down now about 45 points, having jostled between gains and losses over the last half hour.
A look inside the DJIA shows that Apple (AAPL 223.07, +2.34, +1.06%), Boeing (BA 182.70, +1.80, +1.00%), and Walt Disney (DIS 101.14, +0.96, +0.96%) hold gains near the top of the average.
Meanwhile, Merck (MRK 88.06, -4.25, -4.60%) is underperforming.
The DJIA is now -2.97% lower month-to-date.
Elsewhere, U.S. Treasuries have continued their rebound off opening lows, reaching their best levels of the day during the past hour. The market is holding just below highs after the U.S. Treasury sold $69 bln in 2-yr notes to solid demand. The sale drew a high yield of 3.984%, which stopped through the when-issued yield by 0.3 basis points while the bid-to-cover ratio (2.66x vs 2.65x average) and indirect takedown (75.8% vs 69.3% average) were above average.
