Growth stocks continue to lead today, but had underperformed compared to value stocks since the start of the year. The Russell 3000 Growth Index shows a 6.1% decline in 2025 while the Russell 3000 Value Index sits on a 2.1% gain.
All the major equity indices show declines on the year, reflecting the underperformance of growth stocks and mega caps. Meanwhile, the equal-weighted S&P 500 shows a 0.3% gain since the start of the year.
