[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 has held above 5,600 this week, which is acting as relative support after reaching a low of 5,603 today.
The index briefly dipped below that level on Tuesday, hitting 5,597 at its low, before support stepped in.
Gains in some mega cap names have provided a measure of support to the index. Meta Platforms (META 590.24, +4.24, +0.7%), Eli Lilly (LLY 846.80, +4.23, +0.5%), and Tesla (TSLA 240.35, +4.20, +1.8%) are standouts in that respect.
These names comprise about 5.5% of the S&P 500 by market-cap.
