Stock Market Update

[BRIEFING.COM] The market is slowly moving off session lows, but remains well below prior closing levels. The Dow Jones Industrial Average (-0.7%) is down nearly 300 points.

The DJIA has maintained a slim gain since last Friday, sitting 0.1% above its close last week. 

Only five of the 30 Dow components trade up today including Verizon (VZ 43.94, +0.28, +0.6%), UnitedHealth (UNH 502.28, +3.26, +0.7%), and Johnson & Johnson (JNJ 163.76, +0.92, +0.6%).

IBM (IBM 246.46, -6.51, -2.6%), Amazon.com (AMZN 192.04, -3.72, -1.9%), and Walmart (WMT 85.99, -1.47, -1.7%) show the largest percentage declines in the price-weighted average.
