[BRIEFING.COM] The market continues to chop around at the index level and major indices are sticking to narrow trading ranges.
There's a lot of buying under the index surface, leading the equal-weighted S&P 500 to trade 1.0% higher. Advancers have a 7-to-2 lead over decliners at the NYSE and a 2-to-1 lead at the Nasdaq.
Small and mid cap stocks have benefitted from the broad buying interest. The Russell 2000 trades 0.7% higher and the S&P Mid Cap 400 shows a 1.0% gain.
