NVDA, AVGO boost S&P 500 and semiconductor space

[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 moved off its worst level of the morning, trading fractionally lower than yesterday.
Some mega caps stocks moved into positive territory as the index level improved. NVIDIA (NVDA 116.65, +0.91, +0.8%), which traded down as much as 1.7% earlier, and Broadcom (AVGO 194.51, +0.5,8, +0.3%), which traded down as much as 1.8% earlier, are standouts in that respect.
The broader semiconductor space has improved, leading the PHLX Semiconductor Index (SOX) to trade up 1.1% after trading as down as much as 0.6% at its worst level.
