[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 dropped below its prior close as some mega caps turned lower.
Microsoft (MSFT 379.48, -1.09, -0.3%), Apple (AAPL 215.75, -5.13, -2.3%), and Amazon.com (AMZN 195.67, -0.89, -0.5%) were trading higher after the open before renewed selling pressure kicked in.
Only one S&P 500 sector remains in positive territory. Technology is boosted by a big gain in NVIDIA (NVDA 113.25, +4.47, +4.1%).
