Semiconductor stocks have exhibited relative strength through the entire session so far after Reuters reported that Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSM 176.70, +5.72, +3.4%) discussed a joint foundry project with Intel (INTC 20.48, +0.70, +3.5%), NVIDIA (NVDA 114.68, +5.93, +5.5%), and Broadcom (AVGO 195.59, +5.50, +2.9%).
The PHLX Semiconductor Index (SOX) shows a 2.5% gain.
