Markets rebound after hitting session lows; Nike, IBM, McDonald's lag while 3M gains

[BRIEFING.COM] Markets have whipsawed in recent trading, having bottomed out at session lows and not 5 minutes later returning to positive territory.
A look inside the DJIA shows that Nike (NKE 78.55, -1.17, -1.84%), IBM (IBM 248.65, -4.58, -1.81%), and McDonald's (MCD 305.62, -4.33, -1.40%) are underperforming.
Meanwhile, 3M (MMM 153.51, +2.99, +1.99%) holds solid gains.
The DJIA is now about -0.4% lower on the week.
Elsewhere, at the top of the hour, Baker Hughes (BKR 43.94, +0.36, +0.83%) announced a weekly U.S. rotary rig count of 593, +1 w/w and -36 yr/yr.
