[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (+0.1%), Nasdaq Composite (-0.4%), and Dow Jones Industrial Average (+0.3%) extended higher over the last half hour.
Losses in the mega caps and chipmakers continue to weigh down the Nasdaq, though. The Vanguard Mega Cap Growth ETF (MGK) shows a 0.3% decline and the PHLX Semiconductor Index (SOX) is 0.6% lower.
Market breadth is still negative at the Nasdaq, while advancers pulled ahead of decliners by a 4-to-3 margin at the NYSE.
