[BRIEFING.COM] The three major indices hit session lows in recent trading. Small caps have underperformed their larger peers today and this week.
The Russell 2000 trades 2.2% lower today and sits on a 3.0% decline this week. The S&P 500, meanwhile, sits on a 1.4% loss this week.
Separately, selling has increased noticeably in the mega cap space. NVIDIA (NVDA 137.08, -3.00, -2.2%), Alphabet (GOOG 182.47, -4.16, -2.2%), and Amazon.com (AMZN 216.07, -6.85, -3.1%) are standouts in that respect.
