The Empire State Manufacturing Index jumped to 5.7 in February (Briefing.com consensus -2.0) from -12.6 in January.
Equity futures haven't reacted much. The S&P 500 futures are up 22 points and are trading 0.4% above fair value, the Nasdaq 100 futures are up 93 points and are trading 0.4% above fair value, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average futures are up 80 points and are trading 0.2% above fair value.
