[BRIEFING.COM] The stock market opened higher at the index level, propelled by gains in mega cap names. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite are 0.5% and 0.8% higher, respectively.
NVIDIA (NVDA 133.90, +4.10, +3.2%), Microsoft (MSFT 412.57, +2.84, +0.7%), and Apple (AAPL 228.87, +1.49, +0.7%) are standouts from the mega cap space.
Upside moves are also supported by buy-the-dip interest after Friday's retreat, along with calm action in Treasuries.
The 10-yr yield is down two basis points to 4.47%.
