[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (-0.4%), Nasdaq Composite (-0.3%), and DJIA (-0.4%) continue to tick steadily lower as losses expand across ten S&P 500 sectors.
The healthcare sector (-1.0%) is one of five S&P 500 sectors that hold losses of 1.0% or wider in today's action. A strong majority of the sector's components trade lower, deeping the sector's month-to-date loss to 3.7%, which trails just the utilities sector (-5.1% MTD).
Despite the sluggish start to December, the sector still holds the widest Q3 gain (+8.7%) as health care names largely outperformed in November as tech and growth names faced a pullback.
