Paramount Skydance (PSKY 13.60, -0.02, -0.11%) trades slightly lower today after shares rose yesterday in response to Larry Ellison's $40.4 billion equity financing guarantee for its takeover bid of Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD 29.04, +0.28, +0.99%). Warner Bros. confirmed this morning the receipt of an amended unsolicited offer, though Reuters reports that a major investor believes the offer will still be insufficient.
In geopolitical news, The Wall Street Journal reported that the U.S. is moving special operations aircraft and troops into the Caribbean.
