CNBC reported earlier that the House will now vote on an extension of key Affordable Care Act subsidies after four moderate Republicans supported a discharge petition put forward by House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries.
A handful of health insurance stocks, including Humana (HUM 261.85, +3.69, +1.43%) and Molina Healthcare (MOH 162.55, +1.67, +1.04%), trade higher today, but the gains are modest in comparison to yesterday's retreat, and the broader health care sector (-0.1%) remains lower.
In other political news, the U.S. and Russia will meet in Miami this weekend to discuss an end to the Ukraine war, according to Politico.
