Stock Market Update

[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (-0.2%), Nasdaq Composite (-0.6%), and DJIA (-0.2%) are charting session lows as losses widen in the top-weighted information technology sector (-1.0%), while gains have narrowed considerably across the seven S&P 500 sectors that remain in positive territory. 

With the exception of Tesla (TSLA 472.02, +13.06, +2.85%), which has also given up a sizable chunk of its early gains, mega-caps are under pressure again today, sending the Vanguard Mega Cap Growth ETF 0.6% lower. 

Smaller-cap stocks, which outperformed last week amid a pullback in tech, are also lower this morning. The Russell 2000 is down 0.3%, and the S&P Mid Cap 400 is down 0.1%.
