Consumer discretionary sector higher amid strong day for travel stocks
Dow -25.89 at 48431.95, Nasdaq -113.55 at 23081.65, S&P -5.67 at 6821.73

[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (-0.1%), Nasdaq Composite (-0.5%), and DJIA (-0.1%) are little changed from previous levels as the market enters the final hour of today's session. 

The consumer discretionary sector (+0.8%) is back near session highs amid a particularly strong day for the travel industry. 

Marriott (MAR 309.38, +10.66, +3.57%) trades higher after being upgraded to Buy from Neutral at Goldman Sachs, with a price target of $345, while Hilton (HLT 287.11, +6.87, +2.45%) also benefits from an upgrade to Buy from Neutral at Goldman Sachs, with a price target of $317. 

Separately, Carnival (CCL 28.73, +1.11, +4.02%) trades higher ahead of its earnings release Friday, with Royal Caribbean (RCL 291.42, +12.56, +4.50%) and Norwegian Cruise Line (NCLH 21.70, +0.84, +4.00%) holding similar gains.
