[BRIEFING.COM] The DJIA (+0.5%) has narrowed the gap between its gain and that of the S&P 500 (+0.7%) and Nasdaq Composite (+1.0%) as sector strength widens.

Seven S&P 500 sectors now hold gains of 0.5% or wider, with the communication services sector (+1.7%) recovering all of its 1.5% slide yesterday.

The industrials sector (+0.7%) also closed with a loss wider than 1.0%, but moves higher today with strong leadership from airline names. United Airlines (UAL 97.64, +6.87, +7.57%), Delta Air Lines (DAL 58.63, +2.98, +5.36%), and Southwest Air (LUV 31.20, +1.54, +5.17%) have all recovered the entirety of yesterday's losses and then some.
