[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (-1.2%), Nasdaq Composite (-2.0%), and DJIA (-0.7%) are plotting session lows as the market enters the final hour of the session.
Losses have widened in the information technology (-2.3%), consumer discretionary (-2.0%), and communication services (-1.6%) sectors, as mega-cap stocks face increased pressure. The Vanguard Mega Cap Growth ETF is down 1.9%.
Meanwhile, U.S. Treasuries maintain modest gains, with the 10-year note yield down to basis points to 4.09%.
