Continuing jobless claims for the week ending November 15 increased by 7,000 to 1.960 million. The prior reading was revised to 1.954 million from 1.974 million.
Durable goods orders increased 0.5% month-over-month in September (Briefing.com consensus 0.3%) following an upwardly revised 3.0% increase (from 2.9%) in August.
Excluding transportation, durable goods orders rose 0.6% month-over-month (Briefing.com consensus 0.2%) following an upwardly revised 0.5% increase (from 0.4%) in August.
