Stock Market Update

[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (-0.3%), Nasdaq Composite (-0.6%), and DJIA (+0.4%) remain seated in a mixed fashion. 

While some softness among the mega-caps prevents gains at the index level, it is worth noting that today's losses are more modest compared to yesterday's advance. 

Apple (AAPL 273.26, +3.83, +1.42%) even manages to hold a solid gain, moving higher after President Trump said the U.S. was nearing a trade deal with India, which is one of the largest manufacturers of Apple's iPhone. 

Still, NVIDIA's (NVDA 192.64, -6.41, -3.22%) weakness keeps the information technology sector (-1.0%) charting new session lows.
