Stock Market Update

[BRIEFING.COM] The Dow Jones Industrial Average (-0.56%) is in last place on Thursday afternoon, down about 260 points.

A look inside the DJIA shows that Boeing (BA 217.33, -7.99, -3.55%), 3M (MMM 151.95, -4.05, -2.60%), and Honeywell (HON 205.04, -4.81, -2.29%) are among today's top laggards.

Meanwhile, NVIDIA (NVDA 192.84, +3.73, +1.97%) is outperforming.

The DJIA is down about -0.89% week-to-date.

Elsewhere, the 30-yr bond reopening saw a little bit softer demand than previous auctions, but nothing extreme. The high yield of 4.734% tailed the when-issued yield (4.730%) by a slim margin, with dollar demand, captured by the bid-to-cover ratio, checking in close to the average for the prior 12 auctions. The Treasury market's response to the auction has been subdued, which in turn has kept the stock market on a steady footing following the auction results.
