The stock market is poised for a lower open this morning as mega-cap momentum finally stalls.
Five of the "magnificent seven" names are lower in the pre-market, with Meta Platforms (META 673.40, -78.27, -10.4%) facing the widest loss despite an earnings beat yesterday afternoon.
Strength across mega-cap names saw the Nasdaq Composite finish higher and the S&P 500 finish flat yesterday despite a broader market pullback in response to diminished expectations for another rate cut in December.
Apple (AAPL 271.91, +2.21, +0.9%) and Amazon (AMZN 227.35, -2.91, -1.3%) will look to get the mega-caps back on track with their earnings reports after the close today.
