Stock Market Update

[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (+1.1%), Nasdaq Composite (+1.4%), and DJIA (+0.9%) are steadily charting session highs. With today's advance, the major averages are now just beneath their recent record high levels before the sharp pullback on Friday, October 10. 

Meanwhile, the small-cap Russell 2000 (+1.5%) and S&P Mid Cap 400 (+0.9%) hold similar gains. 

The market's largest names are also on an upwards trajectory this morning, with the Vanguard Mega Cap Growth ETF up 1.2%. 

Apple (AAPL 260.94, +8.65, +3.43%) continues to chart session highs after receiving a handful of upgrades this morning as demand for its iPhone 17 continues to impress. 

Meta Platforms (META 731.88, +14.96, +2.09%) also holds a nice gain, and Amazon's (AMZN 215.37, +2.33, +1.09%) stock seems to be unaffected by the company's AWS cloud services outage this morning, which caused technical difficulties across a number of high-profile sites.
