Futures point to higher open as mega-caps see early strength

The stock market is poised for a higher open this morning as several key mega-cap names trade higher in the pre-market.
Tesla (TSLA 473.60, +14.14, +3.1%) is an early standout after the company announce in Q3 that it produced over 447,000 vehicles, delivered over 497,000 vehicles and deployed 12.5 GWh of energy storage products—a record for both deliveries and deployments.
The major averages are once again on the precipice of fresh record highs after steadily trading higher throughout yesterday's session. Notably, the S&P 500 eclipsed and closed above the 6,700 mark for the first time.
