Dow climbs as AXP, Visa, and Cisco lead gains; index on track for +1.25% weekly rise

[BRIEFING.COM] The Dow Jones Industrial Average (+0.21%) is in first place on Friday afternoon, up a clean 98 points.

A look inside the DJIA shows that American Express (AXP 344.93, +21.81, +6.75%), Visa (V 341.76, +6.36, +1.90%), and Cisco (CSCO 70.12, +1.03, +1.49%) are outperforming.

Meanwhile, Caterpillar (CAT 528.28, -12.68, -2.34%) holds solid losses.

The DJIA is poised to end the week +1.25% higher.

Elsewhere, at the top of the hour, Baker Hughes (BKR 45.05, +0.41, +0.92%) announced a weekly U.S. rotary rig count of 548, +1 w/w and -37 yr/yr.
