Technology sector paces early gains
Dow +52.96 at 46306.06, Nasdaq +119.31 at 22789.41, S&P +18.09 at 6689.14

[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (+0.3%), Nasdaq Composite (+0.6%), and DJIA (+0.1%) trade in a relatively tight range, maintaining their modest opening gains. 

The information technology sector (+0.9%) once again holds an early lead, with Dow component Salesforce (CRM 253.63, +17.05, +7.21%) trading nicely higher after the company announced a new long-term revenue target of $60B+ by fiscal year 2030, excluding Informatica. This implies a 10%+ organic FY26 to FY30 compounded annual growth rate (CAGR).

Semiconductors also continue to tick higher, with names such as NVIDIA (NVDA 182.66, +2.82, +1.57%) pushing the PHLX Semiconductor Index to a 1.1% gain. 

In geopolitical news, Axios reports that President Trump will speak with Russian President Putin on the phone today, with President Trump previously stating that Russia must either hold peace talks or the U.S. will provide Ukraine with Tomahawk missiles.
