[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (+0.5%), Nasdaq Composite (+0.8%), and DJIA (+0.3%) have retreated from their earlier highs over the past half hour as several S&P 500 sectors have moved into slightly negative territory.
The industrials sector (-0.4%) faces the widest loss, with defense names a notable laggard, sending the iShares U.S. Aerospace & Defense ETF (-1.3%) beneath its baseline.
Elsewhere, the energy sector (-0.1%) also moves beneath its flat line as the price of oil has decreased $0.25 (-0.4%) to $58.45.
