CNBC reports that Oracle (ORCL 305.00, -3.01, -1.0%) Cloud Infrastructure announced that it will deploy 50,000 Advanced Micro Devices (AMD 222.8, +6.46, +3.0%) GPUs in the back half of next year, signaling increased competition for NVIDIA's (NVDA 185.47, -2.85, -1.5%) industry-leading GPUs.
AMD is one of the only large semiconductor names that trades higher in the pre-market.
Separately, all of the "magnificent seven" names have moved lower before the open.
