Stock Market Update

The stock market is on track for a flat open this morning in what looks to be another light session from a macro development perspective. 

While the ongoing government shutdown has prevented the release of several economic data points this week, investors will receive the preliminary October University of Michigan Consumer Sentiment Survey (Briefing.com consensus: 54.5). 

The major averages sit mixed for the week, with the S&P and Nasdaq Composite still in positive territory while the DJIA sits lower.
