Stock Market Update

[BRIEFING.COM] The three major indices are slightly higher than prior closing levels and the Russell 2000 (-0.8%) has moved off its session low. The small cap index traded down as much as 1.7% earlier.

Mega cap gains have played an integral role in index performance. Apple (AAPL 243.32, +1.11, +0.5%), Microsoft (MSFT 424.81, +2.50, +0.6%), and Tesla (TSLA 395.61, +1.28, +0.3%) are among the standouts in that respect. The Vanguard Mega Cap Growth ETF (MGK) shows a 0.3% gain.

Separately, the weekly EIA Natural Gas Inventories showed a draw of 40 bcf vs a draw of 116 bcf last week.
