[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 (-0.5%) trades near its worst level of the day with its weightiest components all trading lower.
Some of the influential losers include NVIDIA (NVDA 142.57, -6.83, -4.5%), Apple (AAPL 243.77, -1.21, -0.5%), Microsoft (MSFT 425.54, -2.29, -0.5%), Amazon.com (AMZN 224.10, -3.54, -1.6%), Meta Platforms (META 619.37, -10.82, -1.7%), and Tesla (TSLA 396.66, -14.48, -3.5%), which comprise 30% of the index.
Losses in the aforementioned names have pinned their respective S&P 500 sectors to the bottom of the lineup among the 11 sectors. The consumer discretionary (-1.7%), information technology (-1.5%), and communication services (-0.5%) sectors are the worst performers so far.
