NVIDIA climbing ahead of CEO keynote address at CES

[BRIEFING.COM] The three major indices moved mostly sideways near session highs in recent trading. The S&P 500 opened above its 50-day moving average (5,948) and has traded above the 6,000 level for most of the session so far.
NVIDIA (NVDA 151.83, +7.30, +5.1%) is providing a big boost to the major indices and to the semiconductor space ahead of CEO Jensen Huang's keynote address at Consumer Electronics Show (CES) tonight at 6:30 p.m. PST (9:30 p.m. ET). The PHLX Semiconductor Index (SOX) shows a 3.6% gain.
NVIDIA shares and the broader semiconductor space are also reacting to Foxconn's impressive 15% yr/yr increase in Q4 revenues.
