Stock Market Update

[BRIEFING.COM] The Dow Jones Industrial Average trades just above its prior close while the Nasdaq Composite and S&P 500 remain below their flat lines. 

Losses in the mega cap space have an outsized impact on index performance. Apple (AAPL 237.77, -0.38, -0.2%), which was downgraded at Oppenheimer, NVIDIA (NVDA 122.95, -5.94, -4.6%), Tesla (TSLA 390.33, -7.76, -1.9%), and Microsoft (MSFT 444.37, -2.87, -0.6%) are standouts in that respect. MSFT and TSLA report earnings after the close. 

Also, AAPL, which reports earnings after Thursday's close sits on a 6.3% gain since Friday.

The Vanguard Mega Cap Growth ETF (MGK) trades 0.7% lower.
