[BRIEFING.COM] The S&P 500 is stuck just below its prior close, trading less than one point lower.
Market breadth was negative after the open, but shows mixed action now. Decliners had a 3-to-2 lead over advancers at the NYSE and at the Nasdaq at 10:00 ET, but advancers lead decliners by an 11-to-10 margin at the NYSE now. Decliners still lead advancers by a 4-to-3 margin at the Nasdaq.
Earlier, the weekly EIA Natural Gas Inventories showed a draw of 258 bcf versus last week's draw of 40 bcf. Natural gas futures moved lower in response, down 0.6% to $3.54/mmbtu.
The price action in other commodities is mixed. WTI crude oil futures are 1.1% lower at $77.82/bbl and copper futures are 0.9% higher at $4.43/lbs.
