[BRIEFING.COM] The stock market moved lower over the last half hour. Weakness in semiconductor stocks, led by Broadcom (AVGO 138.85, -13.89, -9.1%) after relatively disappointing guidance, continues weigh down the major indices, but many other stocks are participating in downside moves.
The market-cap weighted S&P 500 trades 0.8% lower and the equal-weighted S&P 500 sports a 0.4% decline after being up as much as 0.6% earlier. All 11 S&P 500 sectors are lower with three sectors down more than 1.0%.
Market breadth was positive initially at the NYSE, but decliners lead advancers by a nearly 2-to-1 margin now.
