[BRIEFING.COM] There is some weakness in the stock market today, but nothing acute from an index standpoint. Notably, the small-cap Russell 2000 is distancing itself from the index pack with a 0.3% gain.
Collectively, the mega-cap stocks have turned into a drag for the market. The Vanguard Mega-Cap Growth ETF (MGK) started with a slightly higher orientation, but is down 0.2% now.
It is worth noting, too, that breadth skews positive at both the NYSE (advancers lead by 7-to-6 margin) and at the Nasdaq (advancers lead by an 11-to-8 margin).
